About the Club:

We are an elite distance running club that serves to assist post-collegiate/professional runners to reach their full potential at the National and International level while racing on the track, roads and trails. CSTC Elite is a USATF distance running club for elite runners ranging from 800m to the Marathon. Based at 6,000ft in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, Olympic City, USA. We train at Cheyenne Mountain H.S. track and on various trails around town, but you can also spot us at races across the nation and around the world.

Our goal is to provide local elite athletes with the resources they need to succeed. We provide our athletes with coaching resources, training partners, training facilities, housing connections, local sponsorship and race planning. All of our athletes vow to give back to the local community through volunteering and supporting local organizations.

One unique aspect of our club is that our athletes are allowed to work with the coach of their choice. Some of our athletes continue to with their collegiate or personal coach when joining the club. We are also privileged to offer several local coaching options for prospective athletes.

Gary and Linda Staines not only bring their own impressive personal resume to the CSTC (both competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics) but also an immense passion for character development and performance. Their entire life has been committed to running. As a coach of many elite and world class athletes, Gary and Linda understand the nuances of what it takes to achieve at a very high level as well as the importance of giving back.

The Staines continually offer their free time to support running events in the Colorado region through their constant presence at youth events - If there is an event in Southern Colorado, Gary and Linda can usually be found setting up and tearing down the race course! The Staines bring knowledge, passion and creativity to the Colorado Springs Track Club.
