CSTC Elite Program

CSTC Elite Program

Colorado Springs Track Club is designed to assist elite and post-collegiate athletes seeking to to reach their full potential. Our goal is to provide athletes with comprehensive training, race planning and knowledge of the national and international race scene in order to reach their "next level" at major cross country, track, road and trail racing events.
In order to be considered you must have obtained the time standards required, fill out our application, and be accepted by the team residential coaches and team director. We have two tier program; one for the established professional runner and secondarily a place for the emerging elite runner!

Some of our athletes choose to stay with their personal coach, however our athletes have the option to be coached (or advised) by one of our residential world class coaches Gary Staines and/or Linda Keough Staines. Athletes who are affiliated with CSTC will have access to our group training sessions, training facility privileges, sponsorship advise and teammates that provide a fun and supportive environment that enables an athlete to reach their max potential.

Amanda Rego is a professional runner and is the CSTC Elite Club team director.  She is currently training with her sights on the next World Championships and Olympic Games in mind.

Gary and Linda Staines not only bring their own impressive personal resume to the CSTC ( both competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics) but they bring an immense passion for character development and fitness excellence. Their entire life has been committed to running. As a coach of many elite and world class athlete's, Gary and Linda understands the nuances of what it takes to achieve at a very high level, but what is most impressive about this duo is that he completely understands the importance of being a good citizen. The Staines continually offers their free time to support running events in the Colorado region by their constant presence at youth events - If there is an event in Southern Colorado, Gary and Linda can usually be found setting up and tearing down the race course! The Staines provides knowledge, passion and creativity to the Colorado Springs Track Club!
